Join us at the Somenos Marsh Open Air Classroom (OAC) for our annual Open House where we provide self-guided tours with nature and other specialists at each boardwalk pullout and along the trails providing information about, birds, fish, photography, and other related things. Presenters include the Raptor Centre who will have a few birds 'on hand', a Wild Weaving table using invasive plants, a kids table for nature activities as well as a lot of past and present information about the S'amunu/Somenos Conservation Area. To challenge the kids, a passport will be available that, when filled with stamps from each station, can be entered for some nice nature-oriented gift. The OAC is off the Trans-Canada Highway just north of Beverly Street. Parking will be very limited, and visitors are encouraged to park at York Road or the Somenos Dog Park and Walk the S'amunu Trail (dike trail) to the OAC.
